Young Artist
Asher is a composer, musician and dancer. He has composed works that have been performed as part of fundraisers for the Steamboat Springs (Colorado) Symphony Orchestra and the Steamboat Springs Botanic Garden. He plays the flute, and plans to study flute performance and music composition in college. He was principal flute at the Idyllwild Arts Academy summer symphony orchestra in 2023 and has participated in numerous honor bands around the state of Colorado. He studies with Catherine Peterson, Assistant Principal Flutist of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. As a dancer, he loves all dance styles, but particularly ballet and jazz. In 2023, he competed the Ocean and Pearls Pas de Trois at YAGP with Madison Mohn and Ocean Brown, under the guidance of Emily Speed, and was invited to perform at YAGP finals in Tampa, Florida. He has competed jazz and contemporary solos at various competitions in the Denver area. In his spare time, Asher likes to ski as well as study Japanese in preparation for his 2024 study abroad program in Japan.
